These metal pieces can be pushed in under certain conditions: Pressure applied from the top, such as being stepped on or having heavy objects placed on them, or due to improper storage methods. This issue can occur with wooden shaft umbrellas as the metal can dig into the wood, becoming stuck or piercing through it. To resolve this issue, carefully pull out the metal piece(s) using pliers.
